Course Description
This course will introduce students to a career as an IT professional. Through assignments, presentations, lectures, discussions, videos, and simulations students will be introduced to hardware components, repair techniques, and troubleshooting fundamentals. Students will be required to maintain an 80% average to be able to work on real machines and to assist District Technical Support with actual school technical problems. Computer Maintenance and Repair I and II use an online IT certification program to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ certification exam. This is a Running Start course, so students can earn 6 college credits by completing Computer Maintenance and Repair I and II |
